Dressplace is my longed-for dream come true. More than twenty years ago I was planning my dream wedding to the love of my life, just like any other bride, until I realised that without some long lost relative bequeathing me a fortune, I was destined to forgo the dream wedding dress. Fortunately, I found a quaint little wedding dress agency, where I was able to purchase my fabulous once worn gown, which fulfilled all my desires and made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. In the words of Dorothy Parker, “Where’s the man could ease a heart like a satin gown?”
Several year's later, whilst accompanying my three daughters in their search for the wedding dress of their dreams, I discovered that the whole bridal experience could be very expensive and extremely stressful. Gowns costing half a year's salary and mother of the bride outfits very few and far between. After all that stress, not withstanding a wonderful wedding day, where are the beautiful gowns now? Collecting dust on top of the wardrobe!
After many more disappointing and frustrating shopping days, searching for affordable, quality dresses, for various special occasions, I decided to open my own dress agency. A place where fabulous new and once worn dresses, for any special occasion, can be bought or sold at reasonable prices. A friendly place where you can feel special, where you can feel beautiful, whatever your age or dress size. A place where you will receive excellent, reliable service and value for money, where you will feel pampered and important.
A place where you can take the worry out of buying and selling. A place with real dresses, worn by real women, at affordable prices. Myself and my team of ladies, Lynda, Linda and Barbara offer you a free personal stylist service. Lots of ladies visit us with no idea what they should wear, or what colours and styles would suit them best. As you can see from the testimonials we receive, we certainly get it right, and we are known for our honesty and patience. Your image is important to us and we are proud to make it part of our daily routine.

Shopping for a “Wicked Step-Mother” outfit for my step daughter’s wedding Helen was brilliant-listen to her!!! Try on the things she says look “ordinary” on the hanger- you’ll be transformed!
